Danie van der Merwe

Danie was born in the small town of Krugersdorp on the West Rand of Gauteng.
He grew up in a strict Pentecostal household,
so it was inevitable after matriculating in 1986 from Monument High School
that he would follow in the tradition and studied to become a Pastor.

After completing his degree in Theology, in 1990,
he became a Chaplain in the South African Defense force until 1992,
when he became a full time Pastor for the Full Gospel Church of God.

Since 2000 he has been running a successful business
as well as a Hypnotherapy Practice on the West Rand, Gauteng.

Helping people achieve their potential is his passion,
and utilizing the skillful art of hypnosis has enabled him to live out his passion.
He studied Hypnosis and Hypnotherapy under the auspices of the South African Institute of Hypnosis
with the Brilliant teacher Tom Budge (www.startliving.co.za) and the quirky, but fascinating,
Michael Ellner from New York. Also through the South African Master Hypnosis Association (SAMHA),
under John Dutton in Durban.

Danie believes that you can create your own reality, change your world,
you can be free and happy and as Michael Ellner always says,
“Hope is realistic!”.
